The company will use the facility for packaging commercial biotechnology therapeutics. The Governor the aggressive efforts of the Oregon Economic and Community Development Department (OECDD), the Washington County government, and the City of Hillsboro in paving the way for Genentech’s decision under the Governor’s Certified Industrial Lands Program.

The company uses human genetic information to discover, develop, commercialize and manufacture biotherapies that address significant unmet needs. Genentech is a biotechnology manufacturer with the largest proportion of FDA-approved manufacturing capacity for the production of biotech medicines in the world.
